British actor Paddy Considine (“Hot Fuzz,” “The Death of Stalin”) has been cast as Viserys Targaryen – King Viserys I – in the upcoming “Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon” at HBO.
Considine marks the first piece of casting on the new series set several centuries before the events of ‘Thrones’. Viserys is chosen by the lords of Westeros to succeed the Old King, Jaehaerys Targaryen, at the Great Council at Harrenhal.
