Melbourne Cup placegetter dies after ‘freak’ farm accident
Australian Bloodstock and Leneva Park are mourning the loss of Melbourne Cup placegetter Lucas Cranach.
The Group 2 winner by Marmool died after what has been described as a ‘freak accident’ on Saturday.
The former European import was standing at Leneva Park in 2020, following a period at Bullarook Stud.
A winner of six of his 12 starts, racing never got to see Lucas Cranach’s full ability with injury curtailing his career.
