Confusion at Melbourne’s mass-vaccination hubs as GPs face shortages of AstraZeneca doses

Victoria’s COVID-19 response commander has pleaded with the public not to show up to mass-vaccination sites in Melbourne, saying the state’s priority needs to be administering injections to frontline workers and emergency services.

Jeroen Weimar’s calls came after several people told ABC Radio Melbourne they received the AstraZeneca vaccine at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre during the weekend.
