Health authorities have extended the region’s mask mandate until 1:00am on January 22.
The mandate has been extended in a bid to contain the potential spread of the highly contagious UK variant of COVID-19.
The extended mandate means anyone in the five local government areas that encompass Greater Brisbane must continue to carry a mask on them at all times.
