The women of Glen Innes have been treated to a free informational morning tea on the importance of breast health this week as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event held at the community centre on Tuesday was filled with more than just facts and figures of breast health.
Glen Innes Severn Council director of corporate and community services Anna Watt shared her personal journey of undergoing a prophylactic double mastectomy to reduce the future risk of developing breast cancer.
