Confirmed cases of UK COVID strain found linked to Brisbane hotel quarantine cleaner
A Brisbane hotel quarantine cleaner’s diagnosis with the highly contagious UK strain of COVID-19 has been linked to a traveller from the UK and his partner.
No cases of coronavirus have been detected in the community overnight on Wednesday, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
But the cleaner has been linked to the case of the traveller at the Hotel Grand Chancellor who arrived in Brisbane on December 30 after genomic testing.
