‘Concerning’ discovery as 19 suburbs on alert in Mackay North and Cairns Marlin Coast after more COVID fragments found in Queensland sewage catchments – 7NEWS.com.au
The state’s chief health officer has renewed the call for testing after “continued detections”.

Queensland health officials are concerned that they keep finding COVID-19 in the states northern sewage system.
They detected fragments of the virus in the Mackay North and Cairns Marlin Coast sewage catchments, which service 19 suburbs between them.
Mackay North receives sewage from the suburbs of Beaconsfield, Richmond, Shoal Point, Bucasia, Blacks Beach, Rural View, Eimeo and Dolphin Heads, while Cairns Marlin Coast receives sewage from the suburbs of Barron, Kamerunga, Macalister Range, Yorkeys…
