Comet splashes across Southern Hemisphere skies – Chronicle
After putting on a show in the Northern Hemisphere, the NEOWISE comet will appear in our skies soon.
AFTER being discovered in Northern Hemisphere skies in March, the comet NEOWISE can be spotted in Southern Hemisphere skies from tonight.
University of Southern Queensland astrophysicist said the comet would be visible to the naked eye, and could be seen in the northwest of the sky before 6.45pm tonight.
“(Today) the comet will be setting by 6.45pm, when the head of the comet touches horizon,” Professor Horner said.
