Collingwood coach’s ‘smart arse’ response to critics after $7m star makes powerful statement

After a sub-par 2020 campaign and an underwhelming Round 1 performance put Brodie Grundy on notice, the star ruckman bounced back in a big way against Carlton on Thursday night.
Grundy is two games into a mammoth seven-year deal at around $7 million a season, but his Round 1 effort against the Western Bulldogs, coupled with a below-par 2020 season, saw the 26-year-old put into focus ahead of Round 2.
