Coles has announced that it is trialling cameras at self-serve checkouts in a bid to deter crime.
The supermarket has confirmed that it has introduced the new security technology at a small numbers of stores, meaning customers can see live footage of themselves scanning groceries.
Coles new trial comes after Woolworths introduced the security measure last May, creating controversy among some shoppers.
