Coles registers down around Australia as supermarket shoppers turned away – 7NEWS.com.au
Customers said they’ve been asked to leave the store midway through their shop.
Coles stores across the country have been forced to temporarily close due to a technical glitch.
Customers have been left unable to pay for their groceries on Friday afternoon after a malfunction with the registers.
Coles Express and Coles Liquor are not impacted by the outages.
The supermarket giant confirmed to 7NEWS.com.au it was assessing the glitch.
Coles supermarkets are being closed temporarily due to a technical issue with processing payments in our stores, a spokesperson said.
