Clive Palmer has announced his right-wing political party will contest seats in the upcoming Queensland state election.
United Australia Party leader Mr Palmer said the overwhelming focus of the State Government had been on health issues and not on what happens in the future.
“Queensland needs a new economic deal. We need to make sure the state can get out of the swamp it finds itself in,” Mr Palmer said in Brisbane on Friday.
