Rothfire confirmed himself as a genuine The Everest candidate with his feature race win and it resulted in the son of Rothsay becoming the $2.80 favourite for the Group 1 Golden Rose in a fortnight.
The track started the meeting rated a soft (5) before being upgraded to a good (4) following race two.
