American financial services software group SS&C Technologies has made a $3 billion indicative bid for Link Group.

SS&C Technologies lobbed the $5.65 a share proposal on Monday, upping an earlier $5.45 a share offer from Australian private equity firm Pacific Equity Partners and bid partner The Carlyle Group.
