OUR solar systems largest planets are set for a once in a lifetime overlap and North Coogee will be one of the best spots in Perth to watch it.
On December 21, Jupiter and Saturns orbital paths are set to cross and appear to unify on the horizon, appearing as one single shining star.
The event is called a grand conjunction and occurs roughly every two decades but 2020 will be the closest the two planets have appeared intertwined since Galileo was still alive.
