Christmas shopping this season may be ‘make or break’ for many businesses
After a shocking year for retail during the coronavirus pandemic, the National Retail Association says this festive season is “make or break” for many businesses.

- Australians are expected to spend more than $52 billion this Christmas — a 5 per cent increase on last year
- Victoria and NSW are spending less than usual but Queensland and WA are experiencing a bounce-back, the National Retail Association says
- November was the biggest month in Australian online shopping history, up 55 per cent on 2019
