Byron Bay and the surrounding areas of NSW were hit by heavy rains this week, which caught the 44-year-old Spanish actor off guard.
As the water level became too high, Pataky decided her best option was to climb though the window and abandon the vehicle.
Pataky shared videos with her 3.8 million Instagram followers documenting the wild weather experience.
