A COVID-19 vaccine candidate which is currently undergoing early-stage human trials in China, can produce a “robust” immune response against the novel coronavirus in mice and macaques, a new study says. The researchers, including those from Tsinghua University in China, noted that the vaccine candidate, called ARCoV, elicited both antibody as well as cell mediated immune response against the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in mice and non-human primates.
