China sends more warplanes through Taiwan airspace as part of ‘attempts to intimidate’

Taiwan claims Chinese military aircraft have violated its airspace for a second day in a row.

Eight Chinese bomber planes and four fighter jets entered the south-western corner of Taiwan’s air defence identification zone on Saturday, leading Taiwan’s air force to deploy missiles to “monitor” the incursion.
The defence ministry in Taipei said China on Sunday sent another 16 military aircraft of various types into the same area.
