Child suffers life-threatening injuries after being hit by car near Ballarat

A young child remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a teenage driver near Ballarat.

Victoria Police said it was investigating an incident in which a child was struck by a car just before 3pm on Tuesday in the suburb of Winter Valley, south-west of Ballarat.
