Chester shuffles the deckchairs at ASIC – The Australian Financial Review
ASIC acting chairwoman Karen Chester is already introducing changes to the corporate watchdog in an attempt to address its reputation for management dysfunction….

Shipton explained the idea in an interview with The Australian Financial Review, saying that commissioner sponsors would “help and mentor particular areas and to be the external spokesperson”.
The problem was that both within ASIC, and externally, there was a huge level of uncertainty as to which commissioner was responsible for which area.
But Chester hasn’t just dumped the woolly idea of commissioner sponsors: she’s also reshuffled responsibilities within ASIC.
