Chanticleer: Woolworths’ volatility warning applies to all investors – The Australian Financial Review
Chief executive Brad Banducci remains confident about the group’s outlook but says it’s tough to gauge the state of underlying demand.

Its incredibly volatile to actually look through all these numbers and come to a definitive view of where things stand, Banducci says, particularly given Woolworths is cycling what he describes as some big and noisy numbers from last year.
The eternally provocative Bank of America analyst David Errington accused Banducci of being too pessimistic about the near-term outlook. Banducci countered that while Woolworths was confident in its market position it was important to be realistic with investors.
