The alcohol industry in Australia is arguing that proposed changes to labelling would cost too much, but a prominent medical researcher says this argument is “an absolute furphy”.
One of Australia’s most renowned medical researchers has thrown her support behind more prominent alcohol warning labels for pregnant women, saying arguments from the industry it will cost hundreds of millions of dollars to implement are a “furphy”.
