Centrelink payments: Anxious wait on Jobseeker cash increase – 7NEWS.com.au
The boosted payment rate is due to end in little more than a month.
Finance Minister Simon Birmingham is remaining tight-lipped on the future of JobSeeker payments once the coronavirus supplement comes to an end.
The fortnightly payments were boosted at the height of the pandemic to effectively double the rate to $550 per week.
That was reduced in September once lockdowns around the country eased and people returned to work.
It was cut again in December to about $357 per week.
March 31 has been tabbed as the date for when the payment will return to pre-pandemic…
