Are You There God? It’s Me, MargaretRachel McAdams and Abby Ryder Fortson (“Ant-Man”) have been cast in the film adaptation of Judy Blume’s 1970 coming-of-age novel “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” at Lionsgate.
Fortson will play Margaret Simon, a sixth-grade girl who is going through puberty and searches the universe for any answers she can find. McAdams is her mother, Barbara. Kelly Fremon Craig pens and directs the film which is expected to begin production in April.
