Carlton forward Mitch McGovern is facing an extended period on the sidelines after injuring his hamstring in Sundays win over Essendon.
McGovern suffered the high-grade hamstring injury in the final minutes of the game, with the Blues confirming on Tuesday night that hes set to miss between 8-10 weeks.
In better news for the club, both Jack Silvagni and Zac Williams are likely to be available for their Round 8 match against Western Bulldogs.
