Car on fire, Pacific Motorway crash and breakdowns delay traffic

A vehicle on fire and a crash on the Pacific Motorway have caused major delays for motorists between Brisbane and the Gold Coast on Friday.
Australian Traffic Network spokesman Ben Mihan said the left lane just after Klumpp Road was closed because of a vehicle on fire at Upper Mount Gravatt.
“It’s causing delays back to Mount Gravatt and Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road, Newman Road and Logan Road are clogged up,” he said.
“It hasn’t helped that a breakdown has occurred at Upper Mount Gravatt on Logan Road.”
A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokesman said were dampening down the scene just before 5pm after one crew was called to the incident at 4.10pm.
