Emerging sire Capitalist provided the headline act of a record breaking opening day at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sales at the Riverside complex on Sunday.
A colt by the 2016 Golden Slipper winner out of dame Mystical Tale became a new sale record after going under the hammer for $600,000 to James Harron Bloodstock.
The fee was $50,000 more than the previous sale record but was one that Harron, who also purchased Capitalist, was more than happy to pay.
