The Canon RF 15-35mm F2.8 L IS USM ($2,299) is a lens for pro photographers who crave wide angles and work in tight spaces. It’s the glass you reach for when getting immersive crowd shots on the dance floor at a reception, or to capture cavernous urban environs. As the first wide zoom for the EOS R mirrorless system, it carries the pedigree of the Canon brand, along with the expectations that come with it. Thankfully, it’s an excellent performer, albeit at a premium price.
