Canberra’s A-League bidders have outlined to FFA a new European-backed, multi-million dollar offer for a licence that includes, as an option potentially taking over the Mariners’ A-League licence.

Canberra’s Capital Region Football Collective today outlined key points of their renewed bid to join the A-League.
The Canberra bid hopes it can be part of the A-League in the next 18 months.
The Canberra bid’s main points include:
- Obtaining a licence for a Canberra-based team in the A-League from 2021/22
- If not, then a Canberra-based team taking over the A-League licence of Central Coast Mariners
