Even if Corey Conners walks away without the Green Jacket this weekend at least the 29-year-old can say he left with a slice of history.
Conners became the first Canadian to score a hole in one since Ross Somerville in the first ever Masters in 1934.
The wonder strike was the sixth ever ace at the sixth hole in the Masters and gave Conners a huge lift in his pursuit to become the second player from Canada to snare a Green Jacket, after Mike Weir’s 2003 effort.
