Call Of Duty: Warzone Will Update With New Games’ Content – GameSpot
The free-to-play battle royale will persist as its own product and adapt according to annual Call of Duty releases, Infinity Ward confirms.

Season 5 is about to launch, and Call of Duty: Warzone will continue to add in content from future annual Call of Duty entries, developer Infinity Ward has confirmed. The free-to-play battle royale will be updated over time and become tied to new entries in the Call of Duty series. Instead of moving from Warzone to a new battle royale game like we did with Blackout, we will be playing Warzone from here on out. Your progress won’t have to be reset when a new game releases.
