Cairns woman succumbs to brain cancer after five years of fighting the disease

A young Queensland woman, whose attempts to beat cancer over five years included three brain surgeries and countless chemotherapy sessions, has succumbed to the disease.
Cairns real estate agent Lisa Griffiths is being mourned as an “angel” who was loved by everyone who knew her.
She died aged 27 this week, after being diagnosed with brain cancer at just 22.
After her diagnosis, she went through surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, only to relapse months after her treatment ended.
