Cairns airport footage shows allegedly prolonged assault of man by group

A man has allegedly been assaulted during a brawl in Cairns airport.

Australian Federal Police have released footage of the incident in the arrivals area of the airport in a bid to find witnesses.

The footage shows a male approaching the victim about 10.05pm on April 15.

The two appear to talk for about 30 seconds before he strikes the man.

Another man intervenes by bear-hugging the alleged attacker, before quickly letting him go.
