Caboolture ‘burnout driver’ learns fate of bail application as boy struck by wheel remains in hospital

A teenager who allegedly performed a burnout that caused his car’s wheel to come off and seriously injure a young boy has been granted bail.
Blake Jennings-Davey, 18, was driving his Ford Falcon ute on Wednesday afternoon in Caboolture when he allegedly performed a burnout.
As a result, the vehicle’s wheel came off and hit a five-year-old boy walking on a nearby footpath with his dad and brother.
The boy suffered significant internal injuries and remains in a coma in hospital.
