Bushfire reprieve in the lead up to Christmas with soaking rain across NSW’s fire-affected regions

The State Emergency Service is on standby for more severe weather expected on the New South Wales North Coast over the coming days.

- Flood watches are place for rivers from Port Macquarie to the Tweed
- More rain is forecast over the next five days
A Flood Watch has been activated for rivers between Port Macquarie and the Tweed, and a severe weather warning is in place for heavy rain.
SES Chief Superintendent Greg Swindells said they will have lots of volunteers on the ground.
