Burpengary teen among two struck by lightning as wild storms strike homes and bring relentless rain to Queensland’s southeast

A teenager has miraculously survived after a bolt of lightning crashed through her bedroom and set her mattress on fire north of Brisbane.

Bloom Kermode, 17, was one of two people injured when overnight storms unleashed 2500 lighting strikes across Queensland’s southeast.
