Chris Mayne is unlikely to play again before finals
COLLINGWOOD is expected to be without Chris Mayne for the rest of the home and away season after surgery to repair a fractured cheekbone on Monday night.
Mayne wore the full brunt of a bullocking Patrick Cripps while attempting to tackle the Carlton co-captain late in the Pies’ win over the Blues on Sunday.
The Pies wingman was taken to hospital following the incident and was due to go under the knife on Monday night.
