Brisbane’s Princess Theatre returns to its live venue roots
“We saw that the Princess went up for sale and, in the same way that we thought about The Tivoli, we thought it would be such a shame to lose a cultural asset of Brisbane,” he said.
“We knew what we were doing from our experience at The Tivoli and we thought we would give it a go and restore and re-stage it as another venue.”
The main purpose will be live music and theatre, but it will also be used for circus and cabaret productions and well as some private and corporate events.
“It is going to be a great size for Brisbane,” Dave said.
“One of the best things about this venue is that it has a hospitality aspect to it as well, so we will be able to do events in cabaret mode and in theatre mode providing food and beverages.
