Brisbane teen accused of carjacking remanded in city watchhouse

The teenager accused of carjacking a woman in inner Brisbane on Monday and dragging her “for several hundred metres” as he drove away in her car, has been identified.

Theo Fewquandie, 18, did not appear in Brisbane Arrests Court on Tuesday and his lawyer did not make an application for bail, so he will remain in custody for at least another seven weeks.

The case was adjourned to the Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 1, when Mr Fewquandie will appear via video link from prison. He is unemployed and has never held a driver’s licence.
