SECURITY was on hand as hundreds of people swooped on an acreage property in Gumdale that sold under the hammer for a whopping $5.05 million yesterday – smashing the suburb’s sale price record by nearly $2 million.
The spectacular six-bedroom mansion on 1ha of land at 281 Grassdale Road attracted 12 registered bidders at auction after a three-week campaign that saw more than 700 people pass through its doors.
