Brisbane lockdown extension depends on mystery COVID cases
An epidemiologist has revealed what he believes needs to happen to prevent Brisbane extending its three-day lockdown.
The Queensland capital city is due to exit a snap lockdown at 5pm on Thursday.
However, a surge in cases on Tuesday, with eight new locally acquired infections, has cast that into doubt.
Epidemiologist Peter Collignon told Sunrise there should be one determining factor in whether the lockdown is prolonged.
