Brisbane experiences coldest morning of the year

Brisbane residents have woken up to the coldest morning of the year, recording a minimum temperature of 13.2 degrees overnight.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Matt Marshall said the chilliest part of the morning would have been felt about 5am on Monday.

“It’s the coldest morning recorded for Brisbane so far and it was caused by a south-easterly change that brought cooler and drier air,” he said.
“The dew point [humidity levels] was 5.5 degrees, which is very dry for Brisbane.
