Brisbane duo charged with unlawful prostitution

A Brisbane man and woman have been charged with unlawful prostitution after allegedly running an illegal syndicate out of motels.
A 65-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman were arrested in Brisbane on November 29 following a two-year operation into illegal prostitution activities in Mackay, Rockhampton, Toowoomba and Brisbane.

Police also seized $36,000.
Both were charged with four counts of carrying on the business of unlawful prostitution and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on December 18.
