Breakthrough author Kyle Perry says ‘life has changed forever’ after three-book deal

It’s a big call to make, but author Kyle Perry describes himself as the happiest man in Tasmania.
After writing a book a year for the past 10 years, his debut published novel The Bluffs has led to a three-book deal with his publisher.
It means he has more time to write and can still pursue his work as a counsellor for people battling drug and alcohol addiction.
“My life has changed forever, for the best. I am the happiest person in Tasmania,” he said.
Growing up in the small town of Ridgley in the state’s north-west, Perry knew he wanted to be a writer from a young age.
“I was just in love with stories,” he said.
