Boy’s body found in waters off Yorke Peninsula after boy swept off rocks at Browns Beach

The body of a 16-year-old boy has been found in waters off South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula after he and four other people were swept off rocks at Browns Beach yesterday.

A search for the boy, from the northern Adelaide suburb of Paralowie, resumed this morning after emergency services and volunteers failed to find him yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the Inneston National Park just before 2:00pm yesterday, after reports a group of people were swept off the rocks at Browns Beach.

An adult and three teenagers managed to make it back to shore with minor injuries.

Police then conducted a search with help from local fishermen, Sea Rescue, the State Emergency Service, the Country Fire Service and National Parks.
