Boy, 17, dies after suspected stabbing at party in Waikiki in Perth’s south
Police in Western Australia are investigating the death of a teenage boy who is believed to have been stabbed at a party in Perth’s south overnight.
The 17-year-old is believed to have died after being stabbed and assaulted by a number of people at a party in Waikiki, at around 11:30pm.
“It appears there was a very violent assault by a number of different people,” WA Police Commissioner Chris Dawson said.
“It apparently occurred on the street as a consequence of something that occurred in and around that party.”
Commissioner Dawson said one young person had been taken into custody, but no charges had been laid.
