The man who supplied the flowers given to medallists at the 2000 Games reveals his floral arrangements came very close to not arriving at the starting line.
Many Australians would know the story about the Olympic cauldron’s performance anxiety during the opening ceremony in Sydney 20 years ago.
But the man who supplied the flowers given to medallists on the podium, Jamie Creer, has revealed his floral arrangements were almost a flop too.
“It is Murphy’s law that things don’t always go to plan on time in agriculture like you want them to,” he said.
