Both ends of Queensland on COVID watch, as Cairns hopes to end lockdown
Dr Simon Smith, an infectious diseases physician at Cairns Hospital, said more than 1,086 contacts of the two men had been identified and were quarantining.
He said there had been a delay in getting test results back because some samples had to be flown to Brisbane to be processed.
