Body of woman found in Gold Coast backyard, police declare crime scene
The body of a woman has been found in a backyard on the Gold Coast and police have declared a crime scene.
Police were called to a Spikes Court residence at Arundel about 6.40am on Tuesday to conduct a welfare check and found the body.
A man who was at a nearby address is assisting police with inquiries.
Regional crime co-ordinator Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith would address media at 10.30am about the investigation.
